We believe that communication with the client at all stages of the design process is a key success factor. The way in which you are planning to use your garden will affect the character of the design and space.

Where possible we use local materials to ensure that your garden forms an organic whole with its surroundings. In our designs we also build aesthetic links between your house and the garden to form a pleasing synergy.

At an early stage of discussions with the client a theme often emerges. In addition there is often a key feature within the garden, which leads the design.  Our designs, which can be formal or more free-form, are always rooted in the idea of a strong, well-defined structure, softened by planting.

In our spare time we travel around Europe to climb its mountains – some of nature’s most inspiring gardens are found here. Frequent, close contact with natural stone and plants in these unique habitats enriches and invigorates our work as designers and constructors.
